THE COLD WAR

Sandy Skoglund – The Cold War

Rule Gallery seems to have a color theme going this year, moving from their December-January “Gone Green” show to their latest group exhibition “RED@RULE: Love & War,” opening Friday Feb. 5. Is it a complementary transition? Does it matter? Probably not. The present show should stand well enough on its own given its cozy proximity to February’s most famous of holidays. Reprising one of gallery founder Robin Rule’s previous exhibitions, “RED@RULE” takes it a step further, focusing on the pleasure/pain dynamic of passion itself. Gathering the crimson company of Molly Bounds, Wilma Fiori, Linda Herritt, Margaret Neumann, Sandy Skoglund, Barbara Takenaga, and Scott Young, the show sounds rich and fiery.

Show runs Feb. 5 – Mar. 19.
