"Big Ol' Dude" by Jaime Molina

“Common Rarities” is a two-person show at Svper Ordinary Gallery featuring the work of local Denver artists Jaime Molina and Joseph Martinez.  One of the anchors of Denver’s growing RiNo Art District, Svper Ordinary has hosted a string of well-received art shows and was recently named as one of Denver’s 10 best art galleries by the Denver Post.  Jaime Molina is adept at painting and mixed media, often utilizing muted colors, geometric lines, and an imaginary cast of characters that populate his work.  He recently was honored by Redbull Curates as one of the winners of their Canvas Cooler Project and will be flown to the Scope art fair in Miami to represent Denver.  Fans of Joseph Martinez will recognize his painting style and mixed media creations, including the skulls and hearts which he often incorporates into his work.  For this show, however, the artist really pushed boundaries, incorporating gold leaf and abstract, symmetry-driven pieces that will present a new dimension of creativity to his audience.
The show will be on display currently, but the work is selling quickly so don’t waste time planning your trip over.  More information is available at www.svperordinary.com.
