Time marches on relentlessly and without mercy, so if you haven’t gotten to Walker Fine Art to see Mark Penner Howell’s “Double Rainbow Plans” you only have until the end of the month. Mark’s work is an amalgamation of consciousness, science, industrial manufacturing, and marketing creating an end-product that is bizarre and somehow extremely engaging. Using a bold color palate that incorporates a number of mediums including acrylic paint, colored pencils, India Ink and gel transfer, Mark captures the vastness of the human psyche as if it’s an unexplored region needing to be mapped and characterized. A former advertising executive, Mark has been working as an artist in Denver more than a decade and is a member of the art group Pangloss Gravitron. The “Double Rainbow Plans” show will be on display until May 31st, and Walker Fine Art is located at 300 W. 11th Ave., Denver, CO 80204.
