The Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund announced today that a Colorado master painter pop-up show will be held during the March Meet at the Mansion event on Monday, March 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This special show is being brought to the Governor’s Residence by Evergreen Fine Art Gallery and Mike Wright Gallery, with special help from the Art Students League of Denver.
Guests can meet and mingle with master artists Quang Ho, Doug Kacena, Robert Spooner, Karen Roehl, Edward Aldrich and Ed Kucera. In addition, artists Kevin Weckbach and Dave Santillanes will be giving painting demonstrations.
“Meet at the Mansion”, known for a time as “Mondays at the Mansion”, started in 2007 when First Lady Jeannie Ritter opened the doors of Colorado’s Home to cultural event enthusiasts. Each event celebrates art, film, music, performance, and lifestyle. These cultural events are designed to provide opportunities for enrichment in the beautiful Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion.
Tickets for this exciting evening cost just $25 and include an opportunity to chat with incredible Colorado artists while enjoying wine and light hor d’oeuvres in the splendor of the Governor’s Residence. The mansion is located at 400 E. 8th Avenue on the northwest corner of 8th and Logan Street in downtown Denver.
