By Scott Bailey

Colorado artist Marie Vlasic is a master of hyper-realistic paintings, best known for her portraits of females, although she is no stranger to the male form and has recently begun painting pets as well, garnering her an invite to the prestigious Cat Art Show LA alongside artists like Mark Ryden, Natalia Fabia, and Brandi Milne. I first became familiar with Marie when she was part of Corey Helford Gallery’s “Art Collector Starter Kit” in Los Angeles in 2013, but I did not learn until recently that she lives in Coloroado.  To be fair, I am new to Denver, and it isn’t her fault as she has regularly shown at a number of venerable Denver galleries including Walker Fine Art, Space Gallery, Arvada Center for Arts, Core New Art Space and even winning awards at the Denver County Fair.

So, as part of our ongoing series to spotlight Colorado artists, I wanted to share some of Marie’s work, recommend everyone follow her on Facebook and buy her book.
