As a lead-in to Helikon Gallery’s upcoming Nov. 1 “Muses of Mount Helikon II” group show, local artist and associate director Emily J. Moore recently asked artist Michael Reedy some questions.
– Reedy reveals that the subject of pain is most relevant to his work, being “a marker for the beautiful and ugly.”
– Reedy hates the word “illustrative.”
– He talks about his collection of anatomical models.
– Reedy can’t eat mashed potatoes.
