As a lead-in to Helikon Gallery’s upcoming Nov. 1 “Muses of Mount Helikon II” group show, local artist and associate director Emily J. Moore recently asked artist Michael Reedy some questions.

Of note:

Reedy reveals that the subject of pain is most relevant to his work, being “a marker for the beautiful and ugly.”

Reedy hates the word “illustrative.”

He talks about his collection of anatomical models.

– Reedy can’t eat mashed potatoes.
